I got my camera back.......

Cropped, adjusted color, exposure and contrast. (One day I will have software to do more!!!)

Three weeks later, and Sony has returned my now functioning camera to me. Only cost me shipping my poor, broken camera back east to Sony's repair facility. I am horrible at keeping track of my receipts (I know shocker, huh?), anyway, since I bought it at Best Buy, they printed out a copy for me. The Geeks couldn't fix it because I hadn't bought the really expensive extra warranty, but they did give me Sonys phone number to call them. I did, and since the camera was under a year old (and not run over by a ar or anything) they fixed it. The same thing happened with my Rebel. I had had it 11 months when I shipped it to Canon for repairs.

So what to do? Why take a walk and shoot!! I walked durning the only hour it wasn't raining and freaking cold yesterday! I know it looks like it was a clear day, but it wasn't!!!!

I hope everyone has a
safe and wonderful New Year's Eve!!!

Before and After Thursday.....

Taken with my Rebel, while laying flat on my back as Mater was being pushed on the swing over me!!!!! Have I mentioned that I love my Rebel, it is slowly falling apart? It doesn't auto-focus anymore, it only shoots when it really, really wants to, and is usually in my backpack!!!!

Before and After

I cannot for the life of me get the above shot upright. At least the edited shot is upright.
What caught my attention for this shot was
the broken glass in the foreground.

Before and After featuring Max and Peanut....

It's time again for Monica's (Pixel Perfect)
Before and After

Honey and I love taking Max and Peanut out to the desert for a hike. We put them on a long leash (NEVER off leash) and let them roam and sniff to their hearts desire. Max does pretty good at not pulling arms out of our arm sockets, but Peanut....I am always trying to keep an eye out for the running jackrabbit before she sees it so I am not knocked off my feet. Gotta love puppies!!!  Well, if I am being perfectly honest, I am usually looking for a good capture and Honey is usually holding both leashes!!! Anyway....
Ok, so the above picture is SOOC. I have to jog ahead and crouch down to be on the
dogs eye level and pray........
Below is the after. I cropped the shot and adjusted exposure and contrast. That's it.
BTW, I had to break out the Canon Rebel for these shots!!!!

Before and After

Monica over at Pixel Perfect is hosting this blog hop. Take a picture SOOC (straight out of camera) then show your edited version. Pretty cool!
Anyway, I present my entries:
This Morro Bay Rock in Northern California. Morro Bay is one of our favorite places and the coast of  California is one of the most beautiful anywhere!! I shot this last year during our anniversay weekend trip!!!
The finished product took me a few hours in Lightroom and Photoshop. I was going to toss the top image - but then I wondered if I could salvage it and Voila!! I think it pretty and dark! I hope you all enjoy! It's kinda scary to show people your SOOC shots!! Thank goodness for CS4 and Lightroom!!!
