3-Day Walk in Seattle
I have taken on an incredible challenge. On September 11, 2009, I'll be walking 60 miles over the course of three days, camping out at night with thousands of other women and men taking this journey with me.It's for an event called the Breast Cancer 3-Day, which benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund. Every advancement in breast cancer research, treatment, education and prevention in the last 25 years has been touched by a Komen for the Cure grant. They are working hard to build a future without breast cancer, and I plan on raising $2,300.00 to help bring us closer to that goal.
Please consider making a donation of $100.00. If you can't give this amount all at once, you can spread it out over four months, using the payment plan option, if you donate online at http://www.the3day.org/. Please also ask your employer if they will double your donation with a matching gift.
Without a cure, one in eight women in the U.S. will continue to be diagnosed with breast cancer. That's why I'm walking in the 3-Day. Because everyone deserves a lifetime.
If you don't want to donate online, please download and print a donation form and mail it to the address on the form. Or you can call 800.996.3 DAY to donate over the phone. I would like to reach my fundraising goal by August 2009, so don't delay!
As you all know, I lost my grandma last July, I miss her every single day. My sister walked last October, this year we are walking as a family. My sisters, my mom, and myself are STROLLING IN SEATTLE (our team name!)
Please use the donation button on my sidebar and help me raise money for this very important cause!!!!

Christmas Pictures 2008
Aren't we cute? This was taken in Washington - we were taking pictures for mom's new digital picture frame.
My sisters and I in OUR matching jammies. Can you tell we're related?
All first cousins.
Future yarn.
Looking at pictures of themselves.=)
Opening christmas jammies. Funny how you know you are getting pajamas and still it never loses its excitement.
Hats I crocheted for them.
Portland.
Loved this VW Bus!!

The only way to travel!!

She was a little moody but luckily Uncle Joe was there for hugs!!
My mom and dad - she had just given his new ipod Touch for christmas and then we spent the next couple of days teaching him how to use it! Aren't they the cutest ever?
My Uncle Bill (UB) I don't get to see him often enough!
She won the christmas game - greed! And won.... dishcolths-she unwittingly traded the pink purse, again thank goodness for aunts (Great Aunt Laurie) cause she traded her back!
The final performance of the season! We had individual handbills - with the name of the participants, the name of the director and the name of the producers and on the back we were thanked by name for watching!!!
Playing with his touch! Once he got the hang of it, he spent a ton of money on iTunes!

We had so much fun on our trip, we faced blizzards and driving with chains for the first time, most of the children and adults had stomach flu; but we still managed to laugh, alot!, and I had my first white christmas. It snowed everyday we were in Seattle, which was pretty cool. Of course no matter what the weather, Oregon and Washington are beautiful. Honey had a hard time cause we didn't see sky or the sun for seven days. Different for us high desert girls!!

Twilight the movie...
I loved Twilight. Edward was okay but the bad vamp, James, was HOT! Something about those bad boys I guess. Of course they left the door wide open for the second movie.
The only thing about the movie was the teenage girls watching the movie and feeling the need to scream every five seconds. But Honey said, they are just teenage girls. Oh well, I will get the movie when it comes out on DVD and watch in quite to my hearts content. =)

Fall Ball is almost OVER!!!!
Thank goodness we are almost done! We are coming into my favorite time of year - Mom time. This is the time between sport season and we do what mom wants to do. We are not run by sports schedules but actually get to do whatever. Clean the garage, the backyard, get the front yard ready for spring - ok we get to go to the movies, sightseeing (wine country, take the dogs to the beach, etc.)
Then in January we start the sports thing for the year all over again.
Short school week this week and I have some pictures from the weekend to put up tomorrow.
