My mother and my youngest sister share a birthday! My sister's husband planned a surprise birthday party for her (not for mom because she was in on it!) My sister from Seattle drove down with her two girls and I loaded up the truck with kids and we headed up to San Fransisco for the weekend.
This was the view for the drive home! 300 miles of this!!!

My niece, Brooke!
My Mary, looking happy as always!!!

My nieces from Washington, Denver and Delaney! While my mother, sisters, and I were out Sunday morning getting mani/pedis, the kids were helping to clean the house and get the party ready to go!
Saturday we spent the day doing crafts! Isn't Michael's the place best place ever?!
The party was so much fun! Stories were told (much to the birthday girl's total embarrassment!) Her work friends were there, as well as her best friend from high school! Yes, that is what you want, stories from your childhood being told to your co-workers!! The party was catered and we had the best Mexican food! And margaritas!!! Then we played guitar hero! Til the wee hours, ok 11:30! But still....
DeAnne, my Seattle sister! (Technically, my Auburn sister!)
My brother-in-law makes the best omlettes! Even if they start out in an A's helmet!
Snuggies all around!
Birthday girl and her scarf!! I crocheted her a pink ribbon scarf! What it is supposed to look like is here!
And I managed to keep my 90 days alive! My sisters and I walked(they jogged) and Saturday and I walked on Sunday! Then on Monday, I hit the treadmill for an hour, that's right AFTER a hellish six hour drive! Yea me!

The weather looks yucky but looks like you had a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteI'll eat omelettes no matter what they're whipped in!
That is awesome! How fun that she didn't find out.
ReplyDeleteI planned a surprise party for my husband 3 weeks ago and then his DAD told him. He said he just couldn't keep it in!! I was ever so slightly PO'ed.
Sounds like a fun trip (besides the driving). That treadmill probably felt good after being cramped in the car for so long. (At least for a little while?)
ReplyDelete@Sarah It actually did feel good to move!!!
ReplyDelete@Girl Grows Up - I luckily spoke to my mom early because she thought the invites had been posted publicly on Facebook!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! You should totally have a boyfriend of the week. I highly encourage it :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had fun at the party with your fam!
What a fun gathering for a birthday celebration! 11:30 is definitely the "wee hours" for me, so it counts for sure! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and for the encouragement. I truly appreciate it.
