We spent Wednesday with the kids!

First, we went to see Disney's A Christmas Carol. That's Max, happily modeling the 3D glasses! I have to say, the 3D was pretty awesome! ACC is one of my favorite christmas stories. Plus all the kids enjoyed the movie. It cost us $62.00 to get everyone in plus popcorn! I guess that's why we don't go out as a whole group to often.

Here is the whole kit and kaboodle enjoying lunch at the mall. Honey and I had greek, the kids had whatever their little hearts wanted(we were going all out today!) Of course they had to put up with me photographing everything. I also had black milk tea with boba! Yummy!

After lunch we stopped by Build a Bear. The girls had We-owe-you cards and they were cashing in!

Honey kept her face turned so you can't see her black and blue and purple and red eye! The xrays showed no fractures! Thank Goodness! She had a big headache last night but is feeling better today! I told all three of them I'm ordering these TODAY, but I was told not one of them would wear them. Oh well.

While on our way to the bookstore - we saw this gentleman. The kids told me I just can't go around taking pictures of strangers. I told them if you look like this on a wednesday you should expect to get your picture taken!

The three boys! They are the cutest things EVER!

And finally, we are home to watch old V (thank you Netflix!) and probably take a nap! That's Max (the Mommas boy) laying on Honey and Baby and her daughter Peanut. Baby and Peanut ALWAYS sleep touching each other. They are "the girls" now.

I had another post but...take two!

I'm trying post from urgent care but not only is healthcare messed up but so is the app to post to my blog from my phone! Sheesh!
Anyway, the story is Honey was hit in the face with a softball at practice today. It's gonna be a pretty nice shinner! I was concerned because she was dizzy and just not acting like herself, so off to urgent care we go. She won't go to our local hospital because in the two visits she had there they lost her in the system once and didn't see a dr for for a day and half the other time! (Long stories for another time!) Let me say she has really good, expensive insurance! It scares me for people who don't have insurance - what happens to them? So, here I sit while she finally is having xrays taken almost two hours later! I'm hoping they don't say she has to have a catscan! Positive thoughts! My mother always says, "When you hear hoofbeats, think horses not zebras!"

As a side note, I am happy to report that Buddy woke up happy and playful this morning! He and Gibbs had loads of fun "helping" me clean today!

My Monday....

Peanut and Buddy get to know each other. Buddy is the newest member of our zoo. He is a rescue and was on his last day at the pound. Only two months old. His eyes are bi-colored and although his coat is almost all white it is tinged with red.
He went first his first walk today. Well, ok he went for his first, "let me carry you" outing. He is having a tough time adjusting to his new suroundings. But every now and then he and Gibbs rough house for a few minutes!

I missed yesterdays posting but, I really had nothing to write abouT. We spent the day recovering. Me from the flu and Honey from having to care for me all week. We did go over to friends house for dinner and the Cowboy game. But that was about it!

Meeting the ladies of social alley. During softball practice we sit and watch the girls and "coach"!
Gibbs is soooo cute. He pouts if he can't go with me! I have no idea how to take him to the Trojan Walk this weekend, but since I'm driving, I'll probably find a way! I don't like seeing him pout!

This is the Other Peanut. She can't wait to be a Dodger. She comes to practice and runs the bases!

The sunset from this evening!

I made Gibbs his sweater. It doesn't quite fit yet but at least it keeps him warm right now. I'm going to cast on another one for him as soon as I figure out what pattern to use. Plus I was waiting to see how big he will get. He hasn't really grown at all since I got him, so I think I'm really going to have to cast on soon.
Other then that I spent TWO hours waiting in the doctors office and then another half hour in the exam room, only to be told I am recovering from the flu. So, take it easy for the next few days and take Advil if needed(for which he wrote me a prescription!).
I have been using my soap Dirt and it is lovely!!!!!! I'm gonna be ordering some for Christmas presents (right after I get the truck new tires and registered!!!)

A Big Thank you!!!!!

A very big thank you to knittinwolf for all this loveliness!!! I opened up Dirt and it smells clean!

I'm breaking in my soap tonight!!! Can't wait! I absolutely love the packaging and the magnate.

Please go visit her and order to some of these soaps, you will be so glad you did!
I tried to go to the parade today, but I got so wiped out I didn't stay! Just said hello to my girlies and left. Then Honey and I had a slight miscommunication and the pictures that I took at the parade got ERASED! Dang! So, I guess we are left with this picture of my cutie patootie, Peanut! I do feel better. I think this flu crisis has passed and I am on the road (as opposed to being on the sidewalk) to recovery and health.

This is how I feel today.....

This being sick thing is starting to get old!! The really upsetting part is my doctor is unavailable until Tuesday!
It started with a fever on Sunday, went to a sore throat on Monday, fever with sore throat Tuesday, and today, sore throat and lots of congestion!!
Tylenol Sinus Cold and Flu and Nyquil are my best friends right now!!!
It really sucks because my girlies are auditionng for spring competition today and I have class tonight.
Alright, back to bed!!

I hate being sick!

I just have the regular old flu but YUCK!!!!! Sunday, Honey made me a bath becuase apparently I had a fever! Who knew? But I'm still not feeling well and I can't get in to see my doctor until next week!

A few weeks ago, we lost our Chihuahua, Precious. She was fine in the morning but by 9pm she had passed away. She was only seven years old and the first furbaby Honey and I had together. She was an excellent alarm because let's face it, huskies aren't!!!

After a sleepless week, we now have Leroy Jethro Gibbs!
Gibbs has settled right in to our crazy household and Max has his back!! (that's Max in the picture with Gibbs!) Yes, he is named after the NCIS character! He is the "one in charge" that tells three others what to do!! Well, that is the theory anyway, he hasn't really started to alert the huskies to anything other then his reflection and the fish swimming in the fish tanks. But he is still just a baby!! (Three months old!!) I have hope!

My huskies are special dogs!! They live with cats (peacefully!!) and chihuahuas (somewhat peacefully - but that's due to the chis more then the huskies!)

We miss Precious everyday and she can never be replaced, but Gibbs is bringing his own uniqueness to our hearts!!!

Nana and Mater! He is such a cutie!

And already making his opinions known!!!

Last week we had two birthdays!! Oldest daughter and youngest daughter share a birthday. They turned 11 and 21!! Crazy!!!
The other big announcement is:

We are in the Hollywood Santa Parade 2009. As the lead off band!!!! And when I say we, I actually mean the Pete Knight High School Marching Band.

So, much for a relaxing Thanksgiving weekend! But it should be fun!!! The band also has its invite for next year!!!! We have no bus budget - anybody know where all of the lottery money for the schools is being held because we could sure use it right now!! The kids are so excited and so are the adults if the truth be told!!

Trojan Walks and I think I'm gonna knit this for Mater!!

Working with KHS Song Girls means Trojan Walks. I love Trojan Walks! The band walks around the tailgate area and let me tell you USC fans know how to tailgate!!!! Some of the games we even get tickets to the game. We have a Trojan Walk on Saturday but no tickets!! Dang!!
Song Girls after our walkand about to enjoy the game. I think it was the Washington game.
(Images are not mine they are from annypurls page!)
Duck Soup by annypurls. I made her Buddy Bag. Actually, I made several Buddy Bags.

I have got to make more of these bags, they are easy and so freakin cute! But that Duck Soup.... I think Mater would look so cute in it. I am going to make it in red!

I do knit really I do....

I made this baby jacket for a co-worker of Honey. The pattern can be bought here. It's a really great and easy pattern, the best part NO SEAMING! I hate seaming. I knitted these socks for Honey. Unfortunately, Peanut my puppy, got to them before she could wear them a second time. Ugggghhhhh!
I'm so sad, look how fabulously the pattern matched up!!!
I made this for another co-worker of Honey's. It's a hybrid of two patterns. One of which is here.
I do not know how to link to Ravelry. The other pattern is: Vintage Rocks Baby.
I'm loving all my knitting time. I think I've pretty much finished up everything I had hanging on my needles (or in a baggie!). So, now I am free to start anything I want. Hmmmmmm....

Fire and Song Girls at the (Now Closed for the Year) AV Fair

These two aren't Song Girls but they are so cute, I had to include them!! (See the Station Fire smoke behind them? Yup, dealt with THAT bit of heaven for about a week! More pictures of the smoke below!)
Every year the AV Fair has the area high school bands perform. KHS was the band to close out the fair this year.

I guess I need to include more pics of the actual band! Heehee! Since we are traveling to the Valley for football this Friday night (Alemany High School - my mom's alma mater!!) I will take picures then.
The smoke made the skies black at my house. The fairgrounds are about 15 miles north of my house. Imagine what mi casa was like! Shudders!

All the kids are finally back in school which means knit and crochet time!! Pictures coming soon!!!
