You better love loving you better behave

Woman in Chains
Woman in Chains
Calls her man the Great White Hope
Syas she's fine, she'll always cope
Woman in Chains
Woman in Chains
Well I feel lying and waiting is a poor man's deal
And I feel hopelessly weighed down by your eyes of steel
It's a world gone crazy
Keeps Woman in Chains
Trades her soul as skin and bone
Sells the only thing she owns
Woman in Chains
Woman in Chains
Men of Stone
Men of Stone
Well I feel deep in your heart there are wounds Time can't heal
And I feel somebody somewhere is trying to breathe
Well you know what I mean
It's a world gone crazy
Keeps Woman in Chains
It's under my skin but out of my hands
I'll tear it apart but I won't understand
I will not accept the Greatness of Man
It's a world gone crazy
Keeps Woman in Chains
So Free Her
So Free Her

While the 80's were not my best years, there was so much sadness and blackness for me. And there was also much joy because they were also the years that gave me my daughter, who in turn has given me my grandson! The story of my personal 80's would curl your hair! I have, however, come out on the other side. It took me along time to make peace with my past. I made some serious bad choices, in relationships and career. I have grown and while I have a few bad days now, they don't send me into a tailspin of depression. I tend to put on my big girl panties and deal. I sleep when I need to and I excerise to keep my mind in check. I now know my worth as person and a woman. I only keep people in my life that uplift me and my family. Life is too short to be unhappy and unloved.

The Two Savvy Sisters

Last nights sunset was so surreal! I loved the colors! This was a piece of the sunset. Honey says no more cloud shots, but really? How could I not?

Teething..........

(Not my picture)

I know there should be many pictures of softball players and marching bands here. Instead that up there is what we have to deal with!! My normally happy, smiling, huggy grandbaby has just been a mass of drool and tears!!! Oh yeah, and he has a small diaper rash. So he has been miserable, I have been unhappy cause I can't make it better. I just want to hug the pain away, and I can't. And of course, when I hear hoofbeats, I don't think horses, I think zebras. Yeah, I'm that mom/grandma!!!

Another weekend of softball down and we survived!! The band review was awesome. The kids really stepped up and performed their hearts out! Our band has never done field show (halftime shows) before and so Saturday night was the first time they had ever marched field show for anybody! I was so proud of them!!!

Well, today I am waiting for the cable guy (again!!) I am hoping to break out my sewing machine and get some sewing done, and of course some knitting!!

Jan at Murrieta 365 is hosting a great blog hop!! SOOC Sunday!

What are the rules?

•On any Sunday you can post any photo you like (it must be one of your own)
•that hasn’t been tweaked or altered in any way (cropping is OK).
•In other words Straight Out Of the Camera.
•Also, please link back to Murrieta365. Thanks.

If I could I would fix the highlight and contrast. I would also remove the softball player in the background and probably the sidewalk behind her.
This is one of my softball players. Her nickname is TooTall. Because when she started playing for us, she was much taller then anybody else. Now she isn't but the name has stuck!!!

Blog Hopping.......

When did this become me? I mean over 40? Really?  But I am ok. Anyway......

This weekend is going to be very busy! No football game tonight. Well, there is a football game but the powers that be (and they are all enjoying cigars and fine food somewhere in LA and NOT making sure the underlings here in California have a budget! and money for our kids! But I digress....) have decided that the band doesn't need money for buses for us to go support our team! Whatever! It's a night off!
Saturday day is all about Mater and softball (Mater and softball it must be saturday!!!! Four games and a 15 month old! yea!!) And saturday night is battle of the bands! All nine area high schools competing against each other!! Should be fun!!!

Sunday I have proclaimed to be cleanning day! Honey told the children everyone MUST be home by 8am Sunday, but didn't tell them why! I feel kinda bad cause at first they thought we were going somewhere until they asked what they should wear (yes my children plan like that!!) and I said, work clothes!!
Charging up the camera batteries as we speak!!!! Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!!!!

My favorite.....

I thought today I would let you all in on some of my favorite tv shows! You might know some, some maybe not....
The first one up on top is Ghost Adventures. It's kind of Ghost Hunters gone manic. I love these guys. BTW, I also watch Ghost Hunters (hope they do the live Halloween show this year!) GA is on the travel channel.
Ok, really? Who didn't love the original? That theme music (yup, it's on my ipod - great running music!) Steve Garrett, Book 'em Danno...
Alex and Scott yummy!! I really like this remake.
Now, I usually watch this in reruns. But this cycle of ANTM has my coworker, Kacey on it. She is on of the chreographers of the Song Girls. And Wonka has a HUGE crush on her. It's kinda cute. She is so talented and beautiful. I have no idea how she does, can't wait to find out!!
Sons of Anarchy is not for the faint of heart. But some reason, I still love me some bad boys!!! And these guys are baaaad boys!!! And Stephen King had a cameo in this weeks episode. Awesome!
I watch both Buried Alive and just plain Hoarders. It makes me kinda uncomfortable because there but for the grace of god goes I! I'm not saving trash, but I hold onto more then I should. And trust me, being a knitter/crocheter/sewer...I have so much fabric and yarn and all bits and pieces that one must have.
After I watch these shows, I clean!!!!

Dual Survival on discovery. One is a military trained survivial guy and the other doesn't wear shoes - ever! Honey found this show in when she was Texas and now we are hooked! I so want to meet these two.
When Honey was not feeling well this past summer, we found this show, Cupcake Girls.  A marathon was on and we watched the whole thing.
Ok, so there you have it. Some of my favorites.

Mater's weekend visit.....

We had a great weekend with Mater. Although, our children said he is no longer allowed to visit on payday weekend! Yea, the shot below is just one of his many (ok, maybe not many but quite a few) new trucks.
Here is another new toy, a quad! He loves it! And when Nana pushes him, heaven!!!

My favorite shot of the weekend!!

Nana and Mater!

We had so much fun with him. he is 15 months old now and he is a happy, easy baby. He sleeps all night and although he is a tad of a picky eater, we discovered if we let him feed himself, he eats just about anything put in front of him! I must admit, my baby is now almost 12 years old and I am little out of toddler practice. But I love being a grandma! Especially when twice this weekend I was mistaken for his mama and had to say nope I'm grandma!! Heehee! Honey keeps telling him he has me wrapped because I giggle at just about everything he does! But I had the BEST grandmas and I hope I can be half the grandma they were. I miss then so much. My grandma M (the italian grandma) passed when I was in high school and grandma O (the mexican grandma) passed two summers ago. I am the first grandchild on both sides so I was a bit spoiled. But even as a teenager, and an adult, I could run to grandmas house and everything would be better! I am discovering I'm a hard mama, but I'm a pushover as a grandma!! I mean really, how could I not be a pushover?
