Ruby Tuesday (Herd style next week....)

My camera is being shipped out this week. These are the last shots (well actually these are the first shots, as the last shot broke the camera. Just not the sd card.).
It has turned very cold this week (in the 30's, 20's, and teens overnight) and the trees have dropped their leaves. It seemed like overnight.

A leaf fluttered in through the window this morning, as if supported by the rays of the sun, a bird settled on the fire escape, joy in the task of coffee, joy accompanied me as I walked.

Meet Me Monday.....

Directly from Java over at Never Growing Old

Blogging is a funny thing...we tell our most intimate thoughts for all to read and yet most of the time I find myself sitting and wondering, "who is this person!?" I know them...but yet I don't know them! I want to know who the person is behind all those words so I thought of a great way for all of us to "meet" each other!
Questions:

1. What is your favorite way to eat chicken?
Chicken with Rice. Yummy.

(None of the images are mine - camera is still broken and I need to send it out to be repaired!!)
2. Have you decorated for Christmas yet?
No. Just not feeling it right now. Hopefully sometime this week.

3. What is your favorite article of clothing?
My pajamas. The second I get home, my pajamas go on.

4. Do you pay your bills online or write checks the old way?
 On line.

5. Do you make Christmas cookies?
Every year, we head to Honeys dads and the kids make cookies from scratch and decorate them. Usually a day or two before Christmas Eve.

Thanksgiving Day wrap up........

(sorry about the camera phone shot, it was the only one that shows that
I was actually there. So bad shot it is....)
We had a fabulous dinner with Honey's side of the family. (well, except for watching the Dallas game!) Three families and enough food for a small army. And the desserts....yummy!! We did miss oldest son, who is in Texas and making plans to attend umpiring school in Florida in January. Mater and Victoria spent Wednesday night and Thanksgiving morning with us, then they headed to dinner with her dad's family.

The black and white kitty in the back has gone to her/his new home and has been renamed Willow. We are now left with Garfield and he/she is probably staying. Garfield and Crouching Tiger(the Mama) are seeing the doctor in January. Heehee!

We aren't doing any shopping today, maybe I MIGHT sneak out a little later today to Joanne's or Michaels for some knitting things! Maybe even hit the local LYS. We shall see.

The video below has probably been seen by everyone but if you haven't please take some time to watch and then make sure you have let everyone in your family know you wish to be an organ donor. This moved both Honey and I to tears!!!

Wordless Wednesday....

For the man sound in body and serene of mind there is no such thing as bad weather; every sky has its beauty, and storms which whip the blood do but make it pulse more vigorously.

Tuesday, tuesday.....

No rain yesterday. Flea played her make up game and lost. But since it is a tournament, we go back tonight. If we lose tonight we are done for the season. This is Honey all bundled up for the game. This time of year it is cold at night. It got down to 34* last night (of course no rain which would have meant snow heavy sigh!!!)

Yesterday, was spent with Netflix instant movies. I watched the Crazies, the Duchess, and Paranormal Activity. The Crazies - really? Not so much. The Duchess was fabulous, I put it on my Nook wish list to read the book. (I put books I come across on my wish list which is on my Nook so that when I am ready to download more books there they are. I just hit buy and viola!!! Reading in mere minutes!!! Love love love my Nook! The first is the Nook I have, the second is the new Nook that just came out, kinda like a iPad. Honey says I can get the new one for my birthday but I am not so sure. My Nook I can read in direct sunlight, I can read for hours and my eyes don't hurt, and the battery life is amazing.

The new Nook, is in color and is all touch screen. I can get full color on my magazines and knitting/crochet books. But I don't know if I can read in the sunlight andif the bright screen will hurt my eyes. It is pretty. Decisions, decisions.)

Back to the movies: Paranormal Activity was horrible!!!  Not scary, just boring. Glad I didn't pay money for it!!

Below, is just an extra shot. I took pictures last night at the game, but apparently, I need to work on my night photography!!

It's Monday.......

Yesterday, it rained just enough to get the softball games cancelled. Which meant a whole day of jammies and football. I went all out and ordered pizza for dinner!!! I haven't shown the furbies in awhile. So, I thought I'd show you how we roll......
Max looking for a bit of pizza. Not happening. We do have seperate food bowls for everyone. However, they all think the other one is getting something much better then what is in their bowl and so we get this...
Buddy, Peanut, and Baby
Kitty kitty has no fear of the puppies. As a matter of fact, the cats rule Chez Max. And Garfield is learning the ropes!!!
I did have a shot of three Sibe noses in one bowl, but it came out blurrier then this.... (ummm, we do not feed Sibes in glass bowls. Honey feeds the tribe leftovers.) Those noses belong to Max and Peanut.

Last summer, Honey and the Senior Boy built a massive dog condo in the back yard. Seriously, this thing is huge. But does Chez Max seek its cover in the heat of the summer? Well, no because they are in the house with the A/C on. So, during the rain storm they seek shelter, right? Nope. Because apparently, due to their double coat, they have NO CLUE it's raining. But, they do want in the house. Yup, wet Sibe. Yummy....

The weekend storm gave us snow in the mountains. (I say mountains, but in reality you are looking at the San Andreas Fault. Well, part of it anyway.)
The shot below is why I do not have carpets or flooring in my house.

It was an AMAZING Saturday.......

Crystal over at Click It Forward, Photography has a weekly photography contest. I entered this shot in the Your Favorite Photo over on her Facebook page. And I won!!! Yea me!! Click on the link and see the other fabulous winners!!

Then, Bella Crochet was having "a just because" giveaway, also on Facebook. And guess what? I won!!! This lovely crochet pattern:

It's called Angel of Love. I cannot wait to get started. (I am having a HORRIBLE case of startitist right now!!!) I have never done anything like it, so it will be quite an adventure!!!

Also, yesterday, we had youngest daughter's end of softball season tournament to watch. But it was rained out. The powers that be didn't decide to call the games for THREE hours. So, we sat there with no cover getting rained on while the fields got soaked and unplayable!! Yeah, I know, didn't bring an umbrella because I thought the cover the city had put up was solid. Alas, nope it was quite not solid!!! And I couldn't sit in the car because I couldn't see the fields from the car. So, what is one to do? Take pictures of course!!!

The games have been rescheduled for today. We shall see.......

Friday, Finally!!!!!

This past summer at a Jethawks game, I won a dinner out to a local bristro here in town. We cashed in last night. It was a delicious steak dinner with fried cheesecake for dessert. And these really amazing stained glass windows. I used to have plans to redo my house in stained glass, the cabinets, the side windows that looks out to nothing,

I love both Tiffany and Frank Llyod Wright styles.  Ahhhhh, maybe one day I will get back to it.

Tonight is the first (and probably only) CIF playoff game for KHS. It is going to be cold!!!!!!!

The girls below are my seniors!!! I am going to miss them!!!

My friends and coworkers!! (I made all the knitwear you see. Both scarves and my hat. Just saying.)

 My Honey and I.
