CPR Training.....

Yup, this was my Saturday!!! I spent the better part of my day learning CPR! It was a small class, so we got through the ideos and practicing quickly! I am ordering my keychain today!!!

So, I am officially certified in Adult, Children, and Infant CPR, AED, and First Aid!!! Below is the kit I have ordered for Honey and myself. I mean, I thought to myself, "what is the point of being certified and not having anything with me to actually help!!??"
Before anyone starts thinking I just woke up and decided to help save the world, let me set everyone clear!!! I needed to be certified for work. I am now good for three years on my first aid and one year in CPR!!

Halloween Decorations and a dinner mishap.....

Yesterday the power company had scheduled a power outage for all freakin day!! So, what's a gal to do? Take a walk to the local coffee house (with my Nook) and read. Now, Honey said, "Really? You can't read at home?"  Ummmm, no. Because I can't make any coffee!! Funny enough the wireless was still up, thanks to a back up battery. But still...NO COFFEE.

This house was so cool, I of course, had to stop and snap a few shots!! There was so many fun details!!!
While starting dinner last night, I popped the oil in a pan and heated it up. I then popped in the meat and splattered it all over my arm!!!! Three blisters and lots of marks!! It hurt!!!
Hope everyone has a great day!!!!

Who sees a wolf at the beach? We do!!!

This guy was having the time of his life running into and out of the water. His owners said he was a little scared of people but they let me take his picture anyway. He was beautiful! (But not as beautiful as my sibes!)

So, we took Mater the beach today. It was his first visit and we had so much fun!! Well, Honey and I did, Mater wasn't so sure about the cold water hitting his feet. But Nana was there to make it all better. He also, found a huge live crab. And had no fear, he picked it up! I was nervously video taping the whole thing. He didn't get pinched. All was well!

So here are the pictures of our day at the beach!!!

We had the most amazing seafood lunch at this fabulous, tiny hole in the wall! They had signed dollar bills everywhere! So of course, Mater had to have his dollar go up!!

My great aunt and uncle live in Ventura, so of course no trip would be complete without a short visit!!

Tuesday Tag-Along
See I was there!!!!

Five Question Friday....

My Gibbs! I need to knit him up a new sweater because he is NOT liking the cold weather! In fact he is now spending his nights under my blankets!! Yup, he needs a sweater!!

Mama M at My Little Life is hosting this bloghop....

1. What do you listen to while driving?

I either listen to my ipod, which has a little bit of everything on it or if I am by myself I will listen to talk radio.

2. What is your least favorite thing about Fall?

Ummmmm, nothing! I love fall! I really love the crispness of the air, the colors, everything!!!

3. What does your dream house look like, inside and out?

Country cottage with a wrap around porch. Hardwood floors and a HUGE fireplace. Cozy, I love cozy.

4. Would you ever own a minivan?

I did right up until the transmission went. I loved my minivan!! But, I think my next car (fingers crossed) will be a Frod Flex! Love those things!!

5. Do you wash new clothes before wearing them?

Seriously? Nope.

Wordless Wednesday....

The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature.

Max in his Halloween costume! Mater, Max and I are going to be devils, Honey is going to be an angel!! I know we are all going against our characters!!! Can't wait! I love Halloween!
If you look around and follow me I will follow back! Just leave me a link in the comment section! Thanks for being here!

Disneyland and trouble on the freeway.......

So, Disneyland is in full Halloween mode. It is beautiful. I love Disneyland.  We went out of our comfort zone and went on rides we hadn't in a long time and ate were we normally don't eat.

I was also on on a hidden mickey mission. This one is on the space mountain ride. The speakers on the back form a hidden mickey.
We are at Disneyland alot so I try to take shots of things you don't normally see. This picture is from the Matterhorn.

Día de los Muertos!!!

A hidden mickey. At the Horseshoe! It took me a long time to see it, even though it is right in front and center of the stage!!!

Billy Hill and the Hillbillys. A new show for us! And we had the best chocolate cake ever!!

The Haunted Mansion is decked out!! Jack is back!!!

My camera is so cool! I got this shot while on the ride!! Jack is standing where the old man and his shaking dog usually stand!!!
These looked so good but not ten dollars good!!

The pumkin carvings were amazing!!!
 Honey with Jesse and Woody!!!
This is actually over at California Adventure. We stayed for the World of Color show! It was awesome!!

On the way home, we were tired but we had had a great day!! Looking forward to getting home, we were driving along talking about our day and I stopped for traffic (love LA - they work on the roads 24/7 and therefore there is ALWAYS traffic) well, the guy behind me didn't stop until he hit me!! OMG!! Are you kidding me? That is Honey's biggest fear - the other guys on the road not paying attention!! Other then my nerves were shattered and some minor damage to the bumper we were ok. His car on the other hand....is jacked up!!! His front is smooshed and his windshield is cracked, airbag deployed, windows wouldn't work!(I should have taken pictures but I really wasn't thinking!) I keep hearing the impact and the drive home was the longest, scariest ride ever!!! I have to force myself into the car to drive. I know this is so overreacting and yet I cannot help myself!! My first thought was I am never leaving my house again! It is too scary out there!! But that is not realistic, so outside I go!!
I hope everyone has a great week!!
