Totally Truthful Tuesday (again)

Tina at My Lipstick Life has started Totally Trutful Tuesdays!
Ok, here is my truths for today!
1. I really dislike the whole your comment will be posted after approval. Only because I am totally neurotic and think my comments never get published.
2. I wish I was a better writer. Things sounds great in my head, but when I write them out, ummm not so much!
3. I really think people who do not know how to drive a traffic circle are incredibly stupid!! How hard is it to look ahead and see who is in the circle and then keep moving?? Apparently these people think a YEILD is a STOP!If everyone drives the 25 mph you are supposed to....sheesh!!!
4.I am really excited to get a weekend away with Honey (just us, NO KIDS OR DOGS!!) for Opening Day in Arizona!!! Next weekend! I am, however open to meeting any of you fabulous readers for coffee or margaritas!! So, if you are near Glendale, Arizona.......

Project 365, Day 51, 52, 53

I hope you like these shots! The top is from my daughter's softball game Saturday! I am trying to use my other (longer) lens but I don't really like it. Way to much movement!!! The second is of course, the most  photographed dog ever, Max. It is just so hard to get a bad image of him. Although, I must admit, I do get some. My fault,  not his!! And last is middle daughter. I think here she was saying, Mom go away!!!!

Me? Gee Thanks!!!

Stephanie over at Ecstatically Pregnant gave this to me awhile ago and I have been totally remiss in not posting it!!!! I am making up for that today! I think it is pretty cool she thinks I'm a beautiful blogger!! Go on over there and say hi! I love reading her blog - just wish I could help out with her "morning" sickness!!! If anyone has a home remedy that works......
Anyway on to the award:
Thank the person who nominated you for this award. Well better late then never!!!
Copy the award and place it in your blog. Done and it is going on my side bar!!!
Link the person who nominated you for this award. Go say hi!!!!
Tell us 7 interesting things about you. Ok, there is really nothing interesting about me, but I  will try!!!
Nominate 7 bloggers. This is easy!!!
Post the links to the 7 bloggers you nominate.

1. I am a glass artist. I work with cut glass making small art pieces. I tried doing windows and discovered, while I love the look, the stress of making windows that actually fit was too much for me!!!
2. I love to read. I have books on my iTouch so that I am never without something to read.
3. I love reality TV.  But I don't think it's really real, it's just entertaining!
4. I am a control freak slob. Yup, I have an opinion on everything, which I feel is the correct opinion, but I do not have the everything in it's place kind of control thing going on. After all the kids and animals that live here, I gave up and now just dream of the day when my house will be nice and tidy!
5. I am, as I get older, more and more like my father! But that's ok, I have made my peace with it! :)
6. My roommate was a volunteer at the '84 Olympics in LA and I hung out with her and went to all the stuff she did. (It was pre-9/11 and that kind of thing could be done back then, now I'm not so sure!!)
7. I have a secret desire to become a Curling athlete!

Now on to seven other Beautiful Bloggers!!!

1. Dawn at KnittinWolf  because she is having us all knit or crochet lapgans for seniors!!!!!
2. Lana at ilovemy5kids because she has five kids and is still sane!!!
3. Leslee at Lollygagging because I love her photographs!!!
4. Lorena at loremor hand made because she taught me how to crochet with a tunisian crochet hook!!!
5. Cat at Crap on my shoes, egg in my pocket because she just kills me with her writing!!!
6. Kate from Busted Plumbing because I would love to hang with her!
7. Cop Mama at Cop Mama because even though she gets lots of comments she always comments and answers my comments and I think that is too cool!!

Project 365, Day 50

Well, today was weigh in day and given the fact that I have been sick for a week and haven't exercised at all, I was pretty nervous! But I lost four pounds and some inches!!! Woot! Woot!! My BMI is way down and other then getting exhausted and winded really easily, I feel fabulous!!!!!! Aren't my Valentine's day shoes wonderful? I haven't had them off my feet in a week and I think they may just be the reason I lost some inches on my legs!!! I love them!!!!!
My Project 365 picture is pretty good!! This old tree stump is on a friends property and apparenty grew into and around the chain fence.
Tomorrow is the official start of the ASA softball season and true to form we have four games and one basketball game!!!
I hope you all have a great weekend! We are supposed to have rain all weekend! I hope so, I need to get some knitting done!

Project 365, Day 49

Welcome to day 49!!! I love, love, love being able to work on shots! I am taking a Special Studies in Photography class this semester, so I need to write a mission statement and then follow through! So, pretty soon (once I decide what I am going to focus on!) that is what will be showing up here! But for now my "for fun" shots continue!!
I am learning to embrace sunflares! I couldn't see for a little bit after I shot this, because I was staring right into the sun! I know not smart!

I love this shot of my youngest daughter. The light was  yummy!! I wish the background was prettier, but....

Project 365, Day 48

I should have stopped to get this shot this morning on my way to class - the light was so much better. It is a little too strong right now. But I do love how this little guy was looking right at me. I pulled over and just stopped at the edge of someones farm to get this shot. I think it was shot ISO 100 at 1/4000 of a sec, goodness only knows what Fstop I was using. I was trying not to blow out the sky. I really need to get a blue filter!!

Project 365, Day 47

I shot this New Years Eve of this year! So, it really is a shot of the blue moon! I shot in Raw and have no way to process at home. But here at school, sky is the limit. Also, since I have not been allowed outside, I am using shots I shot this year but did not use, until I am back on my feet!!! I hope you all like this one, I'm pretty proud of it!!!

Totally Truthful Tuesdays

Tina over at My Lipstick Life has started Totally Truthful Tuesdays!
So here it goes!

I love the Olympics! But I think NBC is totally sucking when it comes to broadcasting these games! Trust me when I say, I watched all lot of TV this past weekend! And I think they aired, what 5 sporting events? I feel bad for the luger that was killed, but did they have to milk it for three days? Good Heavens! These are the Olympics I want to watch the medalists and the ones who DO NOT have a chance to win anything! I don't care about the polar bears, I want events!!! The stories are about to kill me!! Beyond that Vancover is ON THE WEST COAST people! Is there a reason, I am seeing tape delay? I so wish there was a pay per view like the football season!!! I would pay for that!!! I wouldn't be able to eat for the next month but whatever!!
Ok, truth two!! WTH is it with the ice skating judging? It is almost unwatchable because, well if you watch ityou know....falling gets you first place? And apparetly, there were only five pairs of skate teams competing, for two nights, we only saw five pairs of skaters!!!!
And finally truth three: I love watching A&E Hoaders!

Night Lights, Project 365, Day 46

I took this shot at 530 am! It was an experiment in light, focus, and exposure. The strong light down the middle of the frame are cars driving past. I wish cars had gone past the other way, but maybe next time.
It's my last day of bed confinment! Tomorrow is school and practice but I think I have decided to hold off going back to the gym until March 1st!! I start my 90 days over then!!! Dang!!!

Project 365, Day 45

The girls pretend to not like having their picture taken! But they are going to have to get used to it because I have been asked to document the season for younger daughters season. Which means I will also be taking pictures of older daughter and her team!!! Day two of bed rest and while I feel better when I'm laying down, moving around is a whole other ball game!!! My son has been a great help (getting me tea and food! He even helped me chage my bedsheets today!) And Honey, got me chocolate, the 30 Day Shred video and soft bears to cuddle for Valentine's Day! Tonight she is making Chicken Cordon Bleu for dinner!!!
I hope you all are having a fabulous day!!!!

I'm out for the weekend! Project 365, Day 44

Sibes and Chihuahuas are not supposed to be friends due to the strong strong small-prey-hunter instinc in Sibes.
I, however, come home and see Gibbs usually cuddled up with Baby or Peanut. I do not let Gibbs eat with the Sibes (just in case)! Mama is special, she just wants a comfy couch, a lap every now and then, and a really good run! We rescued her from a backyard where she had to sleep on a trampoline! Max took one look at her at they have been in seperable ever since! She even let him in her puppy pen when the puppies were less then three weeks old! Gibbs we rescued from a backyard puppymill, were we found him hiding behind a cactus!
Well, Honey has said no more computer for the weekend! It is bed rest for me for the next three days!! So, I'm out for a bit, I'm watching the olympics and knitting and sleeping as much as I can!!! Hopefully, I will stop coughing soon!

Project 365, Day 42

Meds, originally uploaded by Max Too.

Ok, so I have pneumonia! My fitness plan has been derailed, I'm gonna start over when I can breathe again! I have one more med that the pharmacy needs to order! Holy Crap!!! I orignally took this shot without Mama in the background but it looked so boring. And I probably should have stopped to remove the phone chargers. We are on a new system here at Chez Max! The kids grades are not up to par, so as soon as they get home, phones go in my bedrrom and they get them back in the morning. I know, I'm mean! But seriously! The texting at night was out of control! Now everyone gets sleep and hopefully grades and chores improve around here!!! :)

Project 365, Day 40, 41

This night shot was taken at the ball field. I only wish that the falling rain could be seen! It created such a cool halo effect. The bottom picture is called storm chaser because in my rear view mirror it was black and in front of me it was bright with shinning sun! This So Cal weather has been crazy! We are suppposed to be in the 70's next week, no rain in sight!
This week has been killer. First, I have had the cough and lungs from hell!! And spring semester started. My classes are going to be hard but fun! I am really looking forward to my special studies in photography class. I get to use our trip to Glendale, Arizona for a photography project.  Glendale is spring trainning home of the Dodgers. Honey and went to opening day last year, and we are going back for a whole week this year!! I cannot wait!!! But for today I have nothing to do and no where to go, so I am taking Nyquill and going back to bed!!! I hope you all have a great day!!!

Project 365, Days 37 and 38

I shot these images over the weekend.
Softball is full swing, and so of course it rained. And I came down with whatever my family has had for the last month. I was not as good as Honey and only managed to do half workouts this weekend. Being sick knocks me on my behind. Luckily it's a cushioned fall!

Project 365, Day 36

frog2, originally uploaded by Max Too.
Saw this guy just hopping across our front yard last night. Where he came from, I have no idea! But there he was, and where does he go when it gets to be 110 degrees? Mysteries abound in the high desert!
More shots from our wet Disney adventure yesterday later. But I have an umpires clinic this morning.

Project 365, Day 35

I'm so loving this project! But next week I go back to school and get to use the full Adobe Suite! Lightroom and Photoshop ahhhhhh!
Last night the kids and I went to Women on Weights and Zumba class. The weight class almost killed me and Zumba, holy cow! Let me just tell you women are freakin nuts when it comes to their workout classes! Like blinders on crazy!! The Zumba class is filled to twice what it should be, which is one reason why we have never stayed after WOW. But last night they started a sign in sheet - limiting the class to just 50 people. And if you were in the WOW class they let you sign in first, so we didn't have to leave our class in the middle to sign up. My goodness! You would have thought they cancelled the class out right! About 1/3 the people were on guest passes (Really? You are going to get upset about not getting into a class and you HAVEN'T bothered to join the gym?) Another 1/3 were under ten years old. This isn't the only Zumba classs the Y offers by the way. Oh no! It's the only class they offer SIX times a week!! But apparently these women can ONLY get their workout from THIS class at THIS time. Switch it up people!! I mean, it was a fun class but alot of classes are fun! Try something else! If you don't get in to this class go swim, or hit the treadmill (which has a TV attached to it for your viewing pleasure!) There is so much else to do, why get pissy and out of control? Ok stepping off the soapbox!! Breathing again! Have a great Thursday everyone! We have our first softball practice today - yeah!!!

Project 365, day 32 and one extra

My cats are ALWAYS sleeping on my bed.
I poke around the net and search photographs.
Sometimes I find some really cool things.
Other times I find Awkward Family Photos.

Project 365, Days 30 and 31

This picture of my daughter was not my original shot for day 30! Day 30 was an experiment that did not work out. So, this was my backup shot. I know it is a "snapshot" (that's what my professor calls these types of photos) but I'm keeping my goals this year and 365 pictures is one of them! Here is my day 31 entry.

My weekend was exhausting. How was yours?

Saturday morning was ASA softball tryouts for the girls. So, we spent all day Saturday at the field. After one daughter had her try-outs I had to run her to her basketball game. Which she lost, but had a great game and fun. Then back to the softball field to watch older daughter try out and then go to a draft. Then home to see our son off to his Winter Formal. Can you tell he is the goofball of the family?
No he didn't take two girls, just one with the purple sash. The other girls date hadn't shown up yet. Apparently they had a good time at the dance and actually got home at a decent hour, before midnight. Yea!!
Sunday, we were up early to drive above son to his two baseball games in Los Angeles.
Which were long and it was chilly! Luckily, they have a walking track at the baseball field so we walked for an hour. (Saturday, with all the running around around we did get our 10,000 steps in!)
When those games were over, we headed back up the hill, dropped son and headed to the Big 8 softball complex for two nighttime softball games. Finally at about 10:00 pm we were finished!
How was your weekend?
